Site Charter
This site, created by Steven Hochman and Jami Couch, is designed to facilitate the open dissemination of ideas and information.
The main goal is to continually add to the various parts of the site with whatever ideas, thoughts, and knowledge that we have been able to accumulate. This is then presented in a hopefully organized form in order to make more efficient the transfer of said hopefully relevant and useful information. An open forum is also available for others to share their thoughts. It is postulated by us that if useful information can flow §more freely, the expansion of knowledge can occur more rapidly

Quake Wars
by Jami Couch, 26 Sep 2007 03:53 pm
For those of you with a windows partition, head over to fileplanet and download the Enemy Territory: Quake Wars demo. I've been playing it in my free time for the past couple weeks and I have to admit...its awesome. Fortunately, a linux release version should ship some time after the windows, so I'll hold off on buying it retail until that happens.

Also, check out the Economics forum in the Symposium if you're interested in that sort of thing.

Ubuntu rocks!
by Jami Couch, 26 Jul 2007 09:22 pm
Okay, so for the past couple of years I've off and on had windows/linux dual boots set up. As far as I know, Ubuntu Linux is probably the easiest to use distro out there, and it keeps getting better. I remember the first couple times I tried it having to spend hours figuring out how to set up this or that...but its all good now...Ubuntu Feisty, the latest version, came almost perfect right off the cd. I had to download a few programs for multimedia and such, but thats easy it doesnt take long at all. So if you have some spare time and some extra hard drive space, its definitely worth a look: if nothing else just get the liveCD to see it!
